AmeriPath, Inc. is the nation's largest physician and laboratory company
focused on providing anatomic pathology, cancer diagnostic and
healthcare information services to physicians, hospitals, national
clinical laboratories and managed care organizations. The company
presently operates in 24 states and provides medical services through
outpatient pathology laboratories, hospital inpatient laboratories and
outpatient surgery centers.
Our Kansas City practice has an immediate opportunity for a
Histotechnologist to join our evening team members. The
qualified candidate will accurately performs a variety of routine and
specialized histology techniques and procedures.
Qualifications:
- Must have a high school diploma or equivalent;
- A.S. or A.A. or equivalent training and experience;
- H.T. and/or H.T.L. (ASCP); and
- Must be flexible, dependable, work well under pressure, and have a positive attitude.
Qualified candidates will be able to differentiate tissues for
appropriate embedding, cutting and staining. Ability to cooperate and
work with others, make technical decisions, communicate effectively,
demonstrate an interest in professional development and an ability to
define and resolve problems.
Hours for this position will be Sunday - Thursday from
10 pm - 6:30 am.
