clinical laboratories and managed care organizations. The company
presently operates in 24 states and provides medical services through
outpatient pathology laboratories, hospital inpatient laboratories and
outpatient surgery centers.
Our Kansas City practice has an immediate opportunity for a
Histotechnologist II to join our day shift - hours 6:00 am - 2:30
pm, Monday - Friday. The qualified candidate will accurately performs a
variety of routine and specialized histology techniques and procedures.
Qualifications:
- A.S., A.A. or B.S.;
- H.T. and/or H.T.L. (ASCP);
- Three to six years of histology experience; and
- Must be flexible, dependable, work well under pressure, and have a positive attitude.
Qualified candidates will be able to perform the more complex activities
involved in histologic preparations including sectioning and gross
description of surgical specimens and/or IHC testing, differentiate
tissues for appropriate embedding, cutting and staining. Ability to
cooperate and work with others, make technical decisions, communicate
effectively, demonstrate an interest in professional development and an
ability to define and resolve problems.
